The Intend

Deleting your account

Last updated 29 October 2026

Deleting your account from the app

Open The Intend, go to You, then Settings, then Delete account, and confirm.

It happens immediately and it cannot be undone. There is no grace period and no way for us to restore an account afterwards, so please read the rest of this page before you do it.

If you cannot get into the app

Write to contact@theintend.com from the email address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will check that the request is really from you and complete it within 30 days.

If you write from a different address we may not be able to act on it, because we cannot hand someone else your account on the strength of an email.

What is deleted

  • Your profile, your name, your email address and your phone number
  • Your bookings and your session history
  • Packages you bought and any sessions left on them
  • Items you saved and liked, and how far you had read or listened
  • Journal entries, mood check-ins and worksheet answers
  • Your conversations with your companion, and anything it had saved about you
  • Children you added, their profiles, and what was tracked against them

What we have to keep

A record of each payment: what was bought, when, the amount, and a reference from the payment provider. Tax and accounting rules require us to keep this for several years, and that obligation does not end when an account does.

It is kept on its own, it is not used for anything else, and it holds none of your content.

Sessions you have already booked

Upcoming sessions are cancelled when the account goes, and refunds follow the normal cancellation terms, which means a session inside the cancellation window is not refundable.

If you have something booked and you want it sorted properly, write to contact@theintend.com before you delete rather than after. Once the account is gone we cannot see the booking either.

Shared family profiles

Where you added a co-parent or another helper to a child in Parenting World, that child profile stays on their account when yours is deleted. It is theirs as much as it was yours, and deleting your account does not delete their copy of it.

Your own conversations with the companion are never shared, so those go with your account.

Removing the app is not the same thing

Deleting The Intend from your phone removes the app and the things it had stored on the device. Your account, your bookings and everything in them stay exactly where they are.

If you want the account gone, use Delete account, or write to us.

Subscriptions

If you subscribed through the App Store, deleting your account does not cancel the subscription. Apple handles billing, not us, and it continues until you cancel it with them.

On an iPhone: open Settings, tap your name at the top, tap Subscriptions, choose The Intend, and cancel. Do that as well as deleting the account, or you will keep being charged for something you can no longer use.
